Storm Aileen may have gone but the conditions still aren’t improving across the UK as it will be another day of rain with some added thunder.
BBC Breakfast’s Matt – who has replaced Carol Kirkwood this week – told viewers most regions will get a mix of sunshine and showers this morning.
In the south west of England, there will be heavy showers and across other southern counties it will be a dry start with sunshine.
In the Midlands and in Wales, there will be a lot of cloud whereas northern England and Northern Ireland will have sunny spells.
Scotland will get a lot of wet weather with the heaviest bursts of rain seen in the north and the west.
This afternoon, there will be more rain across the UK and it will be particularly heavy and thundery in England and Wales.
It will feel cool again today due to a constant breeze and temperatures will range between 13 to 18 degrees celsius.
It will be another chilly night with outbreaks of rain pushing into northern England and Wales with temperatures only just reaching double figures.
Tomorrow morning, it will again be a mix of sunshine and showers with temperatures between 14 to 16 degrees celsius.
On Saturday there will be sunshine and showers across England and Wales but Scotland and Northern Ireland will remain fairly dry.
