Emmerdale viewers baffled by Moira Dingle’s ‘ridiculous’ recovery amid Finn shock | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Moira (played by Natalie J. Robb) suffered from a horrific amount of trauma this week in the ITV soap, which included being attacked by Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and going into surprise labour.

But despite the character nearly dying from a haemorrhage in hospital, when she discovered the psychotic Emma had kidnapped her newborn baby, she was determined to find her on her own.

Escaping from her hospital bed, Moira managed to trudge home where she began loading up a shotgun with bullets to presumably kill the kidnapper.

Luckily, Moira was stopped in her tracks by a call from Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins), who broke the happy news that her baby had been found.

While filled with relief that the fan-favourite was safe from potential death at the hands of the psychopath, viewers weren’t so willing to forget the far-fetched plot thread.

One viewer said: “#Emmerdale is Moira some kind of Wonder Woman? Near death, gave birth to a baby and now going on a killing rampage!”

“Moira love, you’ve just had a haemorrhage while giving birth and now your walking round carrying a gun. Girl you okay? #emmerdale,” another person commented in disbelief.

A third added: “#emmerdale as if Moira would be strong enough to he home, walking about and loading a gun, absolutely ridiculous!”

Tonight’s episode saw the village rocked by the death of another beloved character, in the form of Finn Barton (Joe Gill).

The tragedy unfolded this week after Emma fired a shot at a suspicious presence in the woods, unaware she had just killed her own son.

Devastated by the reality of what she’d done, Emma sobbed to an apparition of her late husband James (Bill Ward) before seemingly deciding to commit suicide.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
