At the beginning of the episode, Kim (played by Tameka Empson) was extremely worried she was suffering from a bout of food poisoning following the safari supper night held at the Queen Vic.
Feeling queasy, Kim blamed Karen Taylor’s (Lorraine Stanley) “nasty pudding” for making her ill and rushed to the pub to ask the other party goers if they had the same symptoms.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) said she wasn’t feeling nauseous but revealed the last time she thought she had food poisoning she discovered she was actually pregnant.
Kim began to have suspicions of her own and dashed home to take a pregnancy test.
The usually bubbly local became completely stunned as she found out the result was positive.
As she allowed the bombshell to digest, Kim looked on in shock at the thought of having another child.
How will her husband Vincent Hubbard (Dominic Treadwell-Collins) deal with the news of another baby on the way? And how long will it take Kim to tell him the news this time round?
Those watching the BBC One soap also found the storyline unexpected, as one person wrote: “Okay random I didn’t see that coming, don’t really know what this is going to bring though? Kim has gone boring anyway #EastEnders.”
Another fan didn’t have high hopes for Vincent’s reaction s they wrote: “Kim preggers, Vincent is gonna pass out #EastEnders.”
“Kim’s pregnant! We need more iconic offsprings! #EastEnders,” said another happy viewer.
