The first episode of the compelling four-part drama Kiri aired on Channel 4 on Wednesday January 9.
Kiri follows social worker Miriam Grayson (Sarah Lancashire) whose life gets thrown into disarray after a nine year-old child in her care – Kiri – goes missing.
The schoolgirl is abducted during an unsupervised visit with her grandparents that Miriam insisted on and organised.
A media witch hunt against Grayson ensues and the disappearance prompts a nationwide search for the missing girl.
The first episode gripped audiences and received rave reviews.
The next episode will be aired on Wednesday January 17 at 9pm on Channel 4.
Kiri is written by Jack Thorne who has previously written the Channel 4 drama National Treasure as well as the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for London’s West End.
The drama is inspired by Thorne’s mother and her job as a carer.
