Game of Thrones season 8 – Kit Harington shares worrying finale details | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Kit Harington, who stars as in the HBO fantasy series, has shed some light on the progress of the eighth season. 

“We know we have six episodes – we are not sure whether they will run for 70 minutes or even 90 minutes,” he explained. 

“There is so much work still to do. We haven’t put together a full episode yet as there is more filming.”

The actor went on to add to The Sun: “The length will be a network decision. But we are busy.”

His update comes after he promised that the final series would be “bigger than it’s ever been” but it feels like the “right time” for it to come to an end.

She assured viewers that the final episodes will be “different” to what they may be expecting as she too was also shocked by the ending. 

The actress revealed that she and her mum “cracked open a bottle of wine and made predictions about how it was going to end” before she read the scripts. 

“Neither of us was right,” she noted. “I don’t know if it’s gonna surprise people, but it’s just different to what you think it’s gonna be.”

The 20-year-old also opened up on how she would like the show to end for Arya, telling The Times: “For a lot of the previous season her emotions were very cut off, she just didn’t want to hear what her family had been through.

“I hope in the new season I get a chance to bring back a bit more of that fun child that we fell in love with.”

It comes just as the   by HBO. 

President of the network, Casey Bloys, noted: “There are five of them. If we do a pilot and series, nothing is going to air on HBO until at least a year after the final season. 

“We’re not doing a finale series of Game of Thrones and then, ‘Following it at 11pm…’” he told The Hollywood Reporter. 

It seems fans will only have to wait until 2020 then to get their Westeros fix. 

Game of Thrones season eight will return to Sky Atlantic in 2019.
