She says the confidence boost which made her one of the most popular contestants has given her the courage to look to the future.
Debbie was devastated after losing magician husband Paul Daniels in 2016.
The couple had enjoyed 28 years of marriage and working together before his death, aged 77, from a brain tumour.
She said: “I don’t want to be on my own for the rest of my life, definitely not. At the moment I just take each day as it comes.”
Asked if she wanted to find new love she replied: “Oh yes, absolutely.
“I just think life is for living and having a good time so I would never say no to meeting someone else and you don’t know what lies ahead, or if you’re lucky enough to meet somebody else.
“I was really lucky to have the most amazing husband for all those years and a great life with Paul and I don’t know how I’d ever find that again but people do and I hope I do at some point.”
