First look pictures of Troy: Fall Of A City reveal the cast and characters of the epic new BBC and Netflix series.

Troy: Fall Of A City follows an epic love story based on Greek mythology.

Louis Hunter plays Paris, a young shepherd who discovers he is the son of King Priam, played by David Threlfall and Queen Hecuba of Troy, Frances O’Connor. 

Paris visits Greece and falls in love with Helen of Sparta played by Bella Dayne.

Helen, who was said to be the most beautiful woman in the world, is already married to King Menelaus of Sparta (Jonas Armstrong).

Paris of Troy elopes with Helen and the Trojan war begins with Menelaus and his brother Agamemnon setting out to reclaim the King’s wife Helen.

This gallery reveals the stunning first pictures of episode one which reportedly cost £6million-an-episode and was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa.

The new BBC drama is told from the perspective of Trojan family caught in the ensuing siege.

Look through this gallery to see; David Threlfall as Priam;  Frances O’Connor as Hecuba; Joseph Mawle as Odysseus; David Gyasi as Achilles and Jonas Armstrong as Menelaos.

We also see Tom Weston-Jones as Paris’ elder brother Hector.

Troy: Fall Of A City is on Saturday 17 February at 9.10pm on BBC One.
