Tom Kerridge weight loss: Packed lunch recipes to end desk snacks on Lose Weight for Good | Diets | Life & Style

Tom Kerridge, 44, lost a whopping 12 stone he realised at the age of 40 that he had to make a lifestyle change.

Weighing 30 stone at his heaviest, he embarked on a weight loss journey which has since seen him show off a much trimmer figure.

He has since decided to help other Britons out with his new BBC series “Lose Weight For Good”.

This week, Tom is helping people lose weight by giving some low calorie packed lunches to avoid the desk snack temptation.

Speaking to Tom and Beth, they are the only couple in the experiment and try the first recipe on the list which is a healthy snack of a popcorn bar.

Melting 200g of dark chocolate that is 70 per cent, Tom also added dried cranberries, salted popcorn, puffed rice and marshmallows.

After putting it in the fridge for an hour, it divides into 20 portions to make a snack to take out.

Despite being healthier, he admits that it still “feels like a treat”.

He also offers a filling meal option to take to work with a sweet potato burrito wrap.

Scooping out the inside sweet potato, a black beans and walnut paste is added.

More black beans, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian herbs, the spices are something white Tom swears by for lower calorie meals.

After cooking, this is added to greek yoghurt and chipotle paste, with lettuce, carrot, beetroot and avocado before putting into the tortilla wraps for a filling meal.

Another option is a tuna nicoise salad, with eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, tuna steaks, french beans, new potatoes.

Tom told The Sunday Times that he realised he wasn’t going to “live to 80” if he didn’t change his diet.

After cutting out carbs and alcohol, he also realised that making low calorie food delicious was the key.

He explained in a period episode of the programme that if you “take something out of someone’s diet that they love, they’re going to hate it and they won’t stick to it.”

By removing the “flavourless, bland and unexciting” low calorie dishes, he exclaims that it is much easier to stay on the diet wagon.
