Game of Thrones season 8 Bran Stark final fate revealed in shock twist | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

The battle for the Iron Throne will undoubtedly be at the forefront of Game of Thrones’ final season, but the question remains as to who will end up sitting on it.

Although there are plenty of contenders, including Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington), Gendry (Joe Dempsie) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), the surprise victor could well be Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright).

Bookmakers have suspended betting on who will end up in the coveted seat following a sudden flurry of bets for the Stark boy.

He previously sat at 14 to 1 in the odds stakes, so this marks a big change.

A spokesperson for Betway said: “All bets are off for who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end of season eight, following multiple requests coming in for Bran Stark.

“Bran was previously priced at 14/1 but, following the amount of bets we had on him on Monday, we have had no choice but to suspend the market.”

It certainly isn’t unlikely, as Bran’s powers mean he could definitely find a way to defeat his competitors if he wanted to.

A recent fan theory has also predicted a chilling reunion ahead for Bran and Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).

Fans on Reddit have dedicated their time to theorise how the pair will find themselves forced together once again.

Viewers last saw Jaime departing Kings’ Landing and setting off north to meet with the Starks.

However, the Reddit theory goes that this will spark a troubled reunion with Bran.

Fans will recall the pilot episode of the fantasy show, where Bran discovered Jaime and his sister Cersei (Lena Headey) in the tower.

As Bran was a witness to the Queen cheating on her husband, Jaime was forced to throw him from the tower, crippling him.

Redditors believe that this is the setting where the pair will once again meet for the first time since the attempted murder.

But it’s anyone’s guess who will take control of the situation, as although Jaime is richer and more powerful, Bran has the powers of the Three-Eyed Raven.

Game of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic in 2019.
