It looked as though Stacey was quite put off by the presence of the formidable Great British Bake Off judge as she set about undertaking the first challenge.
The task at hand was scone making, but Stacey was clearly fearful of the 52-year-old, who was overseeing the proceedings.
“Someone get him away from me before I have a mental breakdown,” she exclaimed.
A few shots later, Paul could be seen creeping up behind the mother-of-two, which unsettled her even further.
“I hate him!” she cried.
Later, it transpired that Stacey had her oven on too low for her scones to rise, and she berated Paul once more when he came near.
She declared: “Get away from my oven, that’s not my fault! It’s the oven’s fault!”
However, it was clear it was all in jest as Stacey laughed along, despite the stress of it all.
Tonight’s episode also featured Nick Hewer, Ricky Wilson, and Perri Kiely as the celebrities taking part in the baking competition.
Great Celebrity Bake Off continues Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
