Fiz (played by Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) Coronation Street split took a nasty turn.
After hearing about Tyrone’s affair, Fiz flew into a rage at “local kebab s**g” Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) for sleeping with Tyrone.
Fiz had to be pulled off Gemma after their brawl moved out onto the street, with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) giving Gemma the sack over the affair.
However, as their fight got out of hand, Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) was caught in the crossfire.
Fiz and Gemma chucked kebabs at each other, leaving Rita, who was attempting to split up the fight, covered in lettuce and kebab remains.
Fans of the soap instantly took to social media following the scene.
One viewer tweeted: “Really enjoyed the subtle stray lettuce that ended up in Rita’s hair during the kebab scrap. BAFTA winning stuff. #Corrie.”
“Rita with lettuce in her hair. That scrap in the kebab shop was hilarious this is what soaps should be like lots of #laughs,” posted another.
A third added: “The new must have fashion lettuce in hair think Rita was best #corrie.”
“Rita didn’t pay for that salad in her hair. #Corrie,” wrote another.
As Rita seemed oblivious to the salad treat in her hair, a fifth questioned: “Does Rita know she’s got food in her hair… #Corrie.”
Following Fiz and Gemma’s food fight squabble, fans also couldn’t believe that Fiz had called Gemma a “local kebab s**g”.
One viewer tweeted: “I’ve just nearly peed my pants: “Kabab s**g” – Fizz-Bomb #Corrie.”
“Local kebab s**g” HAHAHAHAHA love fizz @jenniemcalpine @itvcorrie #Corrie,” posted another.
A third added: “Well said Gemma!! Those who live in glass houses!! #corrie.”
