The weather presenter made a cheeky admission as she noted that Good Morning Britain viewers could expect to see more sunshine and warmer temperatures.
“Good weather news for once,” she smiled. “I had to pinch myself when I saw the charts this morning.
“After nearly a month’s worth of rain falling in a matter of days, so much drier, so much brighter out there today.
“Some gorgeous sunshine and a light breeze.”
However she noted: “We do have a chilly start mind you as low as minus two, minus three across parts of northern Britain through parts of Scotland.”
Lucy was thrilled to confirm that elsewhere it would be “frost free” and “snow free” as we head into Spring.
“With the sunshine having just a bit more oomph this time of year, it’s feeling really nice as we head into the afternoon,” she said with a smile.
Good Morning Britain viewers were more than pleased with Lucy’s good news and took to Twitter to comment.
“Always sunny when you do the weather Lucy,” one fan wrote.
While another added: “Looking very hot today Lucy.”
A third continued: “Hallelujah!” as someone else commented: “Lucy always brightens our day!”
The 37-year-old, who has been covering for Alex Beresford, revealed she had eaten her chocolate rabbit before Sunday.
“I’ve already had my bunny,” she admitted.
As Susanna, 47, chuckled at her confession, Lucy was forced to clarify what she meant.
“Sorry, I should clarify that – a chocolate bunny,” she stated.
“I just can’t wait.”
Meanwhile, Kate Garraway chipped in to reveal she was making her work in order to get chocolate eggs.
She joked that they would have to help her redecorate if they wanted to get their hands on the treats.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
