Mel Owen (played by Tamzin Outhwaite) will see red when she is told Michelle Fowler (Jenna Russell) tried to come on to Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) during one of their study sessions.
In an upcoming episode of EastEnders, Mel will be fed a pack of lies about Michelle from her teenage son, who is trying to keep his romance with Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) secret.
The cunning youngster will convince Mel that Michelle tried to make a pass at him in a bid to avoid being exposed for kissing Louise.
It will occur after Michelle walks in on the youngsters locked in a passionate embrace when she turns up for Hunter’s first tutoring session.
Desperate to keep their relationship under wraps, Hunter and Louise will beg Michelle not to say anything.
Sensing their anguish, Michelle agrees to keep quiet, before telling Mel that home tutoring will not work for Hunter.
Convinced there is more to the story than Michelle is letting on, Mel will ask Hunter what really happened.
Knowing Michelle has a scandalous past, Hunter will use it to his advantage to shift the attention from himself.
After Hunter falsely claims that Michelle made a pass at him, Mel tracks her down and confronts her.
But things quickly turn violent and Mel lashes out at Michelle, reaching for her hair in a vicious tussle which sees Michelle panicked and dishevelled.
As if that wasn’t enough, Michelle’s best friend Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) will start to doubt her when Hunter’s lies are spread around the square.
With Michelle’s exit fast approaching, could she be forced to leave Walford because of the allegations made against her?
Or will she stick it out a little while longer to clear her name and bring Hunter to justice?
Last month EastEnders confirmed Jenna, who made her first appearance on the BBC soap in December 2016, would be leaving the popular show.
An EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy at the time: “Jenna is a terrific actress who has loved her time on the show playing Michelle and it was a mutual decision to write the character out.
“We wish Jenna all the best for the future.”
Richard Blackwood, who played Vincent Hubbard, will also be exiting the series later this year.
He made his debut in January 2015 and had been involved in a number of central storylines.
EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
